On Saturday 4 July I read from my new poetry collection, A Model Archaeologist (back issues available from online store Meandi Books) at the second of my summer promotional events this year.

Setting up

I was lucky to have great weather, which made for fun readings in the beer garden. All in all I did 4 rounds of readings to an audience of 20 friends and a further 20+ people in the pub, alongside fellow poet Mark Kamara. I sold 15 copies and managed not to fluff my lines,

despite drinking gin and tonics throughout the evening! By the end of the night, I managed to lose my voice…a sign of a job well done!

Third round of readings later in the night.
