My books at Ormeau Road Library in Belfast

Why not borrow my books, if you want to read them, but money is tight? When you borrow books from a library, it also means the author still gets paid a small amount for each borrow – and you support libraries in the process. Pictured above are two of my books available on the shelves at Ormeau Road Library in Belfast – I’m glad to see that the others are out on loan! I always enjoy stopping by to check up on my books while I borrow others. They’re also on the ground floor of Belfast Central Library in the ‘Irish Writers’ section and on the second floor in ‘Heritage’.

Ground floor of Belfast Central Library in ‘Irish Writers’

They’re available from all of the following libraries, either to borrow or in the Reading Rooms as reference:

Northern Ireland =
Libraries NI

Ireland =
The Library of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin

England =
The British Library
Cambridge University Library
Bodleian Libraries of the University of Oxford

Scotland =
The National Library of Scotland

Wales =
The National Library of Wales

And in ‘heritage’ on the second floor of Belfast Central Library

Libraries are a great support resource for the whole community, so it’s important to keep using them, so they keep getting funding. Many vulnerable members of the community use public libraries, like Libraries NI, as a place to find information, make friends and stay connected. As an author, I am proud to be able to provide paperback copies of my books for readers who may not be able to buy them and support libraries at the same time – win-win!
