Are unboxing videos a thing? It’s something I’ve only happened upon recently, but you know what? Why not get in on the action? Here’s my unboxing video for my hardcovers of Pseudologia Fantastica.
The funny thing about the video above is that I chose to do it in the garden to keep my little dude company while he was outside blowing bubbles. He was silent while I recorded it, but then my neighbours came out at the wrong moment, arguing about their baby. I couldn’t re-record the video as you can only unbox once, so they have inadvertently aired their dirty laundry publicly here. They’ll be cringing if they stumble across this video, ahahaha.

I do love using Ingramspark for my hardcovers as they produce quality products with lovely dustjackets. I got two copies: one for my author book shelf and the other for legal deposit at the British library. I may do another video reading at some point from my hardcover, just to show it off. Why not?
Leilanie Stewart is an award-winning author and poet from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She writes ghost and psychological horror, as well as experimental poetry. Her writing confronts the nature of self; her novels feature main characters on a dark psychological journey who have a crisis and create a new sense of identity. She began writing for publication while working as an English teacher in Japan, a career pathway that has influenced themes in her writing. Her former career as an Archaeologist has also inspired her writing and she has incorporated elements of archaeology and mythology into both her fiction and poetry.
In addition to promoting her own work, Leilanie runs Bindweed Anthologies, a creative writing publication with her writer husband, Joseph Robert. Aside from publishing pursuits, Leilanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their lively literary lad, a voracious reader of sea monster books.
