New author profile photo. A month or so ago on Instagram, I had asked for an opinion about whether I needed a new bio pic on and the feedback was to get a new photo, but keep the rainbow hair. So I did! It was time for a change, as my hair is now long, not shoulder length like in the old photo, and I’m also 7kgs lighter (15lbs) so I look a bit different. This new photo is now up across all my socials and will go up on Amazon, etc soon too. If you are one of the folks who gave feedback, then thank you!
Leilanie Stewart is an author and poet from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She writes ghost and psychological horror, including award-winning novel, The Blue Man, as well as experimental verse. Her writing confronts the nature of self; her novels feature main characters on a dark psychological journey who have a crisis and create a new sense of identity. She began writing for publication while working as an English teacher in Japan, a career pathway that has influenced themes in her writing. Her former career as an Archaeologist has also inspired her writing and she has incorporated elements of archaeology and mythology into both her fiction and poetry.
In addition to promoting her own work, Leilanie runs Bindweed Anthologies, a creative writing publication with her writer husband, Joseph Robert.
